We can also pause for a drink at local cafe or pub in Hathersage to continue our conversations if we want before we depart.What is involved in a reflective walk?A quality walk experience led by a Qualified Outdoor Leader and Life & Career CoachNature Connection momentsI'll prompt thinking and discussions as we walk or sit for a break.Time to reflect (or journal) and capture your key takeaways.Option to pause at a cafe or pub to continue our conversations before we depart.Date: 19th June2026Distance: approx 8kmElevation: approx 105mGrade: Light Hiking. Mostly easy footpaths and trails. Some sections of the paths will be a little uneven underfoot at times, may be some slightly muddier sections if there has been recent rain.Time: 10am start for up to 4.5 hours. Note we will meet by 9.50am to leave at 10am.Who is the event for: All welcome (aged 18+)Who will be your guide?I’m Sara and I’m a Life & Career Coach and Hill and Moorland Leader based in West Sheffield on the edge of the Peak District.Where we'll meet:We'll be meeting at Oddfellows Road Par Park DDC, Hathersage, Hope Valley S32 1DU (google maps).What to bring:Hiking boots or shoes with good gripSnacks or lunch to keep you happy and sustained for around 4/5 hoursRucksackWater (at least 1L)WaterproofsWarm layers, hat and glovesA personal first aid kit with any medications or things you'd usually have on youOptional extras: Walking poles, sit mat, hot drink, journal/pen to capture any reflections from the dayWhat will the terrain be like?Mostly trails and footpaths, some uneven and rocky areas, possibly some muddy sections.Note about Toilets:There are no toilets at the car park. There are facilities nearby in Hathersage centre if needed. There won't be anymore along the way after that.Safety and your participation:The core hope for my walks is that they are enjoyable and memorable experiences for everyone so we will keep it a slow and steady. It's about taking in the views, learning about the area and being outdoors in nature. You are also responsible for your own health and safety and there can be risks with all outdoor activities. You'll be asked to complete a medical form a day or so before the walk to let me know of any medical conditions prior to the day. Every participant is required to complete this before the event begins.Whilst I plan and recce my walks, they are still subject to route adjustments where weather or other route conditions change in the days leading up to or on the day of your event. Any alterations are to ensure your safety and ensure you still get an enjoyable time out.I am a qualified Hill and Moorland Leader and Outdoor First Aid trained so will be on hand in case of an emergency.Dogs:Dogs are more than welcome to come along, however, there may be livestock around and other dogs, so they will need to stay on a lead for parts of it.Cancellations and Weather:This walk will be going ahead whatever the weather, unless I decide that the conditions will be dangerous.
